Your morning routine might be missing something

I never really used to care a lot about my morning routine. I thought it was not really important to have one and that it wouldn’t have an impact in me. In my head I was like why would I need to follow one if every day is different. Well yes, every day is different but that doesnt mean you can’t make some habits to follow that will only benefit you.

I don’t know about you guys, but I would always watch the morning routine youtube videos and would be amazed on how perfect it was. Although in reality there is no ”perfect routine” but ”what works for you routine”. Meaning your morning routine doesn’t necessarily have to be like that influencer you saw and you were amazed how ”perfect” it was. Not because someone posted a video or guide means yours should look like that. Also remember how social media doesn’t show the bad part of that morning or day. You never know if that was even their morning, they could have filmed it in the afternoon LOL. I am stating this just to remind you that you should do what works best for you.

Although you might find inspiration on those videos you see. Maybe that one video you saw showed how the person didn’t ;t use their phone in the first moments of the morning and instead used that time to journal, and well it made you want to do that. Everything is born from inspiration, so yes you can find different habits that work for others to become the best version of yourself.

Since we are talking about inspiration and motivation, I am going to show you 5 things that have helped me have a better morning routine in order to have a successful day.

This is not a ”Aesthetic” morning routine, this is are “Real” habits that can help you have a better day.

Having a journal/notebook/diary however you want to call it

I started my year in a rocky moment in my life. I was living in Spain, and well I was lost. In late february I went to buy a small journal. I started writting all my ideas and well just writting down what inspired me and what I wanted to manifest. When I tell you this became my diary and the place where I would fly into the world of creativity, it did. It made me dream and write down what I wanted to accomplish and work on it. It worked! Many of my dreams came to life and many of them I am currently working.

I would recommend:

  1. Getting a journal
  2. Writting down your name on it
  3. Every morning write down what your goal is for the day and write it in present tense
  4. Keep doing this not only for daily goals, but for long term goals

Instead of writing TO DO write TO ACCOMPLISH, it makes a huge difference

Calling my loved ones

It is so important to me to keep communication with those who love me and those I love. I call my parents every morning and my love ones. I feel like it is so important to start your day with giving love to those you care about and letting them know how important they are for you.

Something I have learned also, is not to focus to much on those that you thought cared for you but never reach out. It’s their loss if they don’t care about you like you care about them. Don’t force anything that simply isn’t there.

  1. Call those you love and care
  2. Let them know how much they mean to you
  3. Bless them and tell them to have a good day, you never know if they really needed that

Lighting a candle

I am OBSESSED with candles, I can’t go a day without lighting any of my candles. I found my favorite scent in the world and it makes me feel home. The feeling of a fresh candle in the morning is so priceless. It not only sets the mood but makes me feel warm inside. Especially while writing in my journal.

  1. Find your favorite scent
  2. Get a cute lighter that you love
  3. Light your candle and just appreciate that beautiful scent

Cooking your favorite breakfast

My morning is not successful if I don’t cook myself something really yummy. Food makes us feel happy and well nothing like some real good food. Don’t skip your breakfast, be excited to cook yourself some good food that will be nutritious for you! I could either go for something sweet, or something savory. I love my butternut squash breakfast and my tomato egg breakfast. Although there is nothing like some yummy waffles with fruit , a smoothie, or yogurt. I could go on and on about breakfast. I lowkey think it’s my favorite meal LOL.

  1. Wake up excited to make something yummy
  2. No time? Pre make it the night before
  3. Feel your body with food and be grateful for it

Picture your dream life

Every morning I picture my dream life and write down what I have to do to get there. Not only does it get me so excited, but it shows me how hard work will lead me there. I really recommend this to anyone who is looking for inspiration but can’t find it, well babe you should be your own inspiration. Dreams are there and they will come to life with your dedication and hard work.

  1. Close your eyes and imagine what your dream life, meaning your dream job or something that you want
  2. Notice what you need to do in order to get there
  3. Write it down in your to accomplish task list
  4. Work on it

You can be your own inspiration, find yourself and that fire in you ❤
