
Good habits lead us on the right path
Habits are essential to our existence. They are the base to how we live life. If we have bad habits then the chances of achieving our goals are low. Although if we keep good habits and practice them daily then we will be able to achieve and maintain our ideal life style that will increase our quality of life.
Having good habits and practicing them is something very powerful. They lead you to change time at a time. These habits you practice become part of you, your life. There is science behind it too. When you form a good habit and know that satisfaction comes after you achieve it, dopamine is released to your brain which makes you feel pleasure. This leads to you wanting to keep making new habits and achieving those you already practice because they benefit you in many ways.
5 habits to start practicing
Wake up early:
It might not make you happy to stay those 30 minutes more in bed, but by doing this you can waste a lot of valuable time. Not only that but too much sleep results in feeling all weird during the day, so start waking up earlier and leave those 30 minutes more for the weekend.
Make your bed:
This is a power habit like Charles Duhigg explained in his book ”The power of Habit”. By making your bed every morning when you wake up it leads to a day with more productivity. If you don’t practice this yet, you should start doing it.
Set your own daily goals:
In order to be successful in any area of your life, you have to have goals to achieve them. Start small by doing daily goals. Meaning if you want to start eating better, start that day with a goal to eat less junk food, etc. Start small, it will help you in many aspects of your life.
Crave knowledge:
What I mean by craving knowledge, is always be wanting to learn more and more about what interest you. Not only do you become wiser, but it also keeps you young. Start by adding podcasts to your day, watching videos, reading a book, practicing something new. Learning new things is fun, keep it interesting, feed your brain.
Be your #1 Motivator:
When you keep motivating yourself and are self motivated, then you really don’t need others to be your best self. You keep pushing yourself to keep working hard to accomplish everything and more. You have to do it for yourself, not for anyone else, so go above and beyond babe.
Cut down on distractions:
Imagine a day without any distractions, how many things do you think you could accomplish than you already do? Well something we have to come to terms with is that no one tells us to go on our phone and scroll on tiktok for 30 min, that is our own decision. Start small, by leaving your phone somewhere else until you can have it next to you without being your distraction. Simply realize that you can do more without distractions and create a plan of how you will do that.
